Rep. Moon said that as the competition among contenders in the party primaries is over and he will work with the nomination rivals of South Chungcheong Governor An Hee-jung, Seongnam Mayor Lee Jae-myung, Goyang Mayor Choi Sung, Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon and Rep. Kim Bu-gyeom. He asked the DPK lawmakers to join hands regardless of whom they had supported in the party primaries and to participate in the party election countermeasures committee for the May 9 presidential election.

Rep. Moon won the party nomination with the sweeping victory, garnering the average 57% of the votes in all primaries, whereas Governor An with 21.5% and Mayor Lee with 21.2%. Rep.
