The Korean Railway Workers' Union(KRWU) called on its management side of the Korea Railroad Corporation(Korail) to resume the normal operation of some plants which had been closed during the strike period.

According to the KRWU, 35 workers have not been able to resume their work for ten days now after railway workers finished their 74-day strike. When the KRWU went on a strike on September 27, the Korail shut down a train maintenance plant in Bundang. The KRWU is suspicious of the intention of the management to outsource the maintenance plant to reprimand the workers who joined the strike.
