Record high temperatures continue, worst ever in the history in Korea. Delivery workers spend most of their time driving motorbikes on hot asphalt roads. A Mr. A who has been working for several years as a McDonald's delivery worker joined in his co-worker, Park Jung hoon who has been conducting a one-man picketing since July 25 with demands of an allowance of 100 won(US$0.09) per delivery in heat waves and a summer uniform.

McDonald's delivery workers get paid by hours worked and additional 400 won(US$0.36) per delivery they make. They are paid 100 won(US$0.09) more when deliveries are made in rainy and snowy days. This time, they demand 100 won addition in hot days as well.

McDonald's delivery workers wear blue jeans as their uniforms with knee and elbow pads. In extreme heat, delivery workers are all in sweat shortly after. They also have to bear the gas and heat emitted from vehicles in hot weather to deliver the orders to the customers without any delay.
