KBS reporters in Seoul entered into the boycott of news reporting, starting from 00:00 a.m. on August 28, and reporters and program directors(PD) in other regions are expected to join the reporting boycott on August 29 and 30.

1,500 union members of KBS Division of the National Union of Mediaworkers already made a notice to go on a strike on September 4 in a bid to achieve the resignation of KBS President Ko Dae-young and the normalization of the state-run broadcaster.
