[labor news] Building labor respecting society? Compliance with international labor standards is first

The Korean Government Employees Union(KGEU) and Korean Teachers & Educational Workers Union(KTU) hold a press briefing on August 17 in Gwanghwamun Square in central Seoul to call on the government to ratify ILO core conventions.

Korea has not ratified four of eight ILO core conventions; freedom of association and protection of the right to organize(No.87), right to organize and collective bargaining(No.98), forced labor(No.29) and abolition of forced labor(No.105).
