The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions(KCTU) proposed a labor-government dialogue with the Moon Jae-in administration to discuss the reform agendas in the labor field, which can be made possible with the executive authority of the government

KCTU decided to consider its participation in the social dialogue system, only after they see the positive response from the government on their proposal and the outcome of the dialogue between labor and government.

The Federation of Korean Trade Unions(FKTU), which has signed the policy solidarity pact with President Moon during his election campaign period, also supports the KCTU's proposal.

If the new government accepts the labor-government dialogue for the labor reforms, both trade union national centers of FKTU and KCTU will return to the social dialogue table. Currently, the official social dialogue in Korea is stalled, due to the walkout of FKTU and KCTU.
