When trade unions were formed at the subcontractor companies, the prime contractor terminated the contract agreements, followed by massive lay-offs and the invalidation of collective agreements. When workers go on a strike, strikebreakers were used to replace the striking workers without fail. When labor relations commissions make decisions, they do not respect the rulings. These are the stories that actually happened at Yusen Logistics Korea, Asahi Glass Korea and Sanken Electric Korea, the Japanese firms operating in Korea.

Union representatives of these companies paid a visit to the Japanese Embassy in Seoul to deliver their grievances that the Japanese government has liability for the union busting and unlawful actions taken by these Japanese firms in Korea.
