E-Land Park is accused of the alleged labor exploitation through the employment contracts with arbeit wokers or part-time workers by applying the 15-minute working time base unit to calculate the work hours to pay. When a part-timer works short of 15 minutes, the company does not pay the worker for that working time.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor undertook a labor investigation into E-Land Park and found that the company unfairly withheld 8.4 billion won(US$ 7 million) which should have been paid to some 44,000 arbeit workers. The E-Land Park CEO, Park Hyeong-sik was indicted without detention for the violation of the Labor Standards Act and was imposed with a fine of 28 million won(US$ 23,000) for negligence.
